National Night Out Tuesday August 2 at the Pool.
Meet Your Neighbors, Enjoy Some Ice Cream, Help Build Community Spirit!
What is National Night Out?
“National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes neighborhood camaraderie and police-community partnerships to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live.”
What National Night Out means here in Rutherford is: come on down to the pool Tuesday evening 7-9 p.m. Mingle with your neighbors, let your kids check out a fire truck and police car, enjoy free B&R ice cream and meet your public safety officers. Find out how you can get involved in keeping Rutherford a great place to live. Meet your Civic Association officers, sign up for Neighborhood Watch and Neighbor2Neighbor, and learn what else is going on in our great community!
“The best way to prevent crime is to know your neighbors & your surroundings. National Night Out triumphs over a culture that isolates us from each other and allows us to rediscover our own communities.”
(Quotes from the National Night Out website, https://natw.org)
So lock your doors, turn on your porch lights, and we’ll see you at the pool!
[Pool membership not required: this is a great opportunity to check out our awesome pool and consider joining for the month of August!]
