Rutherford Neighborhood Stroll to be held Sunday, October 1

Back by popular demand! Last May, the Rutherford Civic Association organized the “1st Annual Spring Stroll” to encourage community members to head outside for a walk, and to meet and greet their neighbors. We had strong participation, despite cloudy weather and the threat of showers. After the event, we heard from many neighbors who hoped this would become a regular event and asked that it be held more often. We are happy to announce the date and time of the next Neighborhood Stroll, which will be held in the spring AND fall going forward.
Event Details:
Sunday, October 1 from 5-6 pm
Head outside with your kids, your dog, and/or your next-door neighbor to say hello and shake hands. If you’d like, wear a name tag that says what street you live on.  Maybe explore a street that you’re not familiar with. Are you limited in your strolling ability, or just not the strolling type? Bring a chair out front and sit in your yard so you can meet people who are strolling by.
We encourage you to post pictures of your stroll on our Rutherford Community Facebook page. Hope you see you out and about on October 1!
